The Empathy Now Project is an opportunity for like-minded individuals connected by a deep sense of compassion for others to come together with intention and spread acts of empathy into the world.
The Empathy Now Project was founded in November of 2024 as an idea that continues to develop into a reality. Amy Head, LCSW, and owner of New Perspectives for Life, LLC in Marietta, Georgia, began the Empathy Now Project as a response to what she saw as a growing human need for empathy, kindness, compassion and connection locally and globally!
In December of 2024, she brought the idea to two trusted colleagues and friends as a mini focus group. Upon discussing her idea and thoughts of implementation, her focus group was immediately on board.
While they didn't exactly know where the idea was going, they planned a meeting for January 2025. Each of them was tasked with bringing one guest to the meeting and suddenly they were no longer a small focus group, they were an organization of 6 empathy-driven members. From there, meetings were scheduled monthly, with more people joining the organization, and their mission, vision and implementation were quickly coming into view.
The Empathy Now Project is now positioned to mobilize people locally and around the world, setting empathy into action and making the world a better, kinder, gentler, more empathetic place for all of us.
